Stroud Valleys Project have been managing Sarah’s Field, a wildlife water meadow at Lynch Road, Berkeley, since 2018, and project officer Fred Miller and his team of volunteers have made great strides in transforming a previously neglected area into something rather special. This event is a perfect opportunity for people of all ages to enjoy the new Sarah’s Field.

The event will start with a ribbon-cutting ceremony officially opening the site, after which the day begins in earnest with events through the afternoon. Activities include a nature trail, quiz, digging for earthworms, stones, pottery and bones and a special ‘Earth Walk’ where you will explore nature and hopefully find a special ‘magic spot.’ The day will end with some folk music to celebrate the merry month of May. Bring some percussion instruments along (it doesn’t matter if it’s just an old saucepan and wooden spoon) and join in!Sarahs Field3Berkeley Town Council
