We have received funding from the European Social Fund and the Skills Funding Agency to work with people who are furthest from the job market. To join this course you need to be either unemployed, self employed and working less than 16 hours, employed and working less than 16 hours, or be economically inactive.

Seasonal outdoor learning

Each week you will have the opportunity to learn something new; it will be very informal and there will not be any tests afterwards. We meet at the Stroud Valleys Project eco shop at 9.30am and leave at 10am in a minibus.

You don’t have to be in the peak of fitness to come out with us on this course. Some of our volunteers are recovering from illnesses; everybody works at their own comfortable pace.

Amongst the activities we have planned are planting trees, tree work in Buckholt Woods, making (and eating!) chutney from home grown ingredients, pond creation and Cotswold stonewalling. Here’s a pond renovation job we recently completed at a house in the Slad Valley.

If you would like to come on this course with us just call 01453 753358 and ask for Julie.
