Stone Mine TourLower Balls Green Mine John Ockham. Reflex Designs 2013 10

Thursday 25 May

7pm – 9.30pm

Stroud District

Join this popular tour of a local mine, which is home to rare bats during the winter and which supplied stone to build mills and houses in this area.

The walk is around 1 mile long and we’ll have to squeeze through a small opening to get into the mine. Once inside, there is room to stand up but it will be dark. Please bring a torch, wear a waterproof jacket and trousers, together with sturdy shoes.

A hard hat is needed which can be supplied if booked in advance.

Anyone without these items will not be allowed into the mine.

Booking is essential as places will be limited.

Please note: children under the age of 13 cannot be admitted into the mine.

Cost: £8 per person
