Pumpkin party celebrates 10 years

Stroud Valleys Project marked a decade of Pumpkins in the Park on Sunday 30 October, with around 200 people joining in during the day-long Autumn Adventure event. Around 30 people brought along their carved creations to the Museum in the Park, which were judged by Stroud author Katie Fforde and children’s writer Claire Barker.

There was also a chance to make leaf crafts with SVP’s Tamsin Bent, while Claire, author of Knitbone Pepper, Ghost Dog led three spooky storytelling sessions with youngsters. A Fungi Treasure Hunt in the morning was fully booked – so there wasn’t ‘mushroom’ for anyone to join in. Pizza was provided by Velo Bakery, and Bottlegreen donated bottles of their Winter Spiced Berry cordial.
