Stroud Valleys Project awarded ‘Gold’ in the Green Impact Awards

In 2021, Stroud Valleys Project was again awarded a ‘Gold’ in the NUS Green Impact awards.  We have now been selected as a charity partner to help deliver the Green Impact Scheme to the GEM Project, working with the GEM Partners to help them become more environmentally sustainable. This can mean anything from communicating recycling systems, to committing to go Fairtrade; from supporting team health and well-being campaigns, to working towards carbon-neutrality.

Working with the University of Gloucestershire and Students Organising for Sustainability, Green Impact is a United Nations international environmental behaviour change programme that works with hundreds of organisations throughout the world and helps them to become more environmentally sustainable. It includes an environmental accreditation scheme with an award aspect. Building on our success in the awards we will be helping other GEM Partners across the District to improve their environmental behaviour and be the best they can be.
