Types of plastic for recycling we accept

 

Bringing us this recycling gives SVP
a financial donation!

Recycling must be clean, dry and sorted by type.

The following single-use flexible plastics - not paper/cardboard:

  • Biscuit, snack bar, cracker and cake wrappers (no chocolate bar or confectionery wrappers)

  • Bread packaging (any type including muffins, crumpets, wraps and so on)

  • Cheese packaging (including vegan cheese)

  • Dental items: plastic toothbrushes and brush heads (including electric toothbrush heads and flosser nozzles), floss sticks and containers, interdental brushes (no wooden/bamboo toothbrushes/heads nor toothpaste tubes)

  • Single-use clean disposable gloves (no washing-up gloves)

  • Personal care packaging (please put hard plastic bottles in Stroud District Council recycling collection) Click here for items we can accept.

    PLEASE NOTE : What we can accept is based on the product that was in the packaging, not the type of plastic. Thank you!

In addition, we can accept the following, working or not, plastic or not:

  • Small games consoles / games & accessories

  • Cameras – any sort, clear your pictures!

  • iPods and tablets (not pills type!), iPads

  • MP3 players

  • Watches

  • Stamps – any sort

  • Mobile phones – remove the SIM

  • Jewellery of any kind, broken or not

  • SatNavs

  • Bank notes and coins – any currency/age

  • Inkjet cartridges (not laser/toner) - no packaging

Although we cannot accept accessories like chargers/cables, you can see if Webworks, John Street, Stroud - in next street to us - can take them for recycling.

Please do not bring us anything except the items mentioned in the list, you can try charity shops who might accept gadget cases.
