Archaeology Walk of the Heavens (11.1.25)

Join Neil for a guided walk as he reveals the Heavens’ hidden history of weavers, millers and clothiers; you’ll never see things in the same way once you know about the mills and homesteads that once dotted this ancient landscape.

Dogs are allowed, but they must be controlled and kept on a lead at all times.
Neil is very kindly running this walk on eight occasions this winter, as a joint fundraiser with the Heavens Valley Action Group, who are raising money to buy the land for the people of Stroud. Find out more about the Heavens Valley Action Group here.

Willow Tunnel Taming!
Join Stroud Valleys Project and willow weaver Norah Kennedy as we tackle and tame the willow tunnels and dens in Stratford Park!
Its two years since we worked with the community to plant some fabulous willow tunnels and dens in the play area at Stratford Park, and its fair to say these watery wonders are loving their new home.
They have become a little unkempt however, and we could do with your help to get them back into line! Please join us to help trim, tidy, and weave the tunnels and dens back into shape.
You don’t need to join us for the full session – feel free to drop in and lend a hand at any point between 1pm and 3.30pm. This event is suitable for all the family, including well-behaved dogs on a lead. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.
There is a free Garden Guardians goody bag for everyone who takes part, so why not don your wellies and blow away those winter blues? We would love to see you there!
