Community Tree Planting at King George V Playing Field, Nailsworth

Join Stroud Valleys Project and Nailsworth Town Council for an afternoon of tree planting! We will be planting 30 standard trees at the King George V playing field and would love your help.

Join us for as little or as much of the session as you would like. Just drop in to wield a spade, hammer in a post, or steer a wheelbarrow. Make sure to wear weather-suitable clothing, and sturdy shoes/boots. All tools and equipment will be provided.

This event follows on from a morning’s wassailing and tree-blessing that will take place at Miles Marling Field between 10.30 am and 12 pm. For more information on this event, contact Nailsworth Town Council - https://www.nailsworthtowncouncil.gov.uk/.

For more information, contact sharon@stroudvalleysproject.org or call 01453 753358.

There will be other wildlife-themed activities to take part in - watch this space for details. All tree planters will get a Garden Guardians goody bag!

Please note: This event is weather-dependent so please keep an eye open for updates if the weather is particularly bad, or the ground is likely to be frozen.
