Come and join us to witness the amazing winter roosting of the Jackdaws in Stratford Park. Local ecologist David Bullock will give us an insight into their habits and do his best to answer any questions you might have.
Jackdaws are almost always in pairs, and you can pick couples out even they are flying in flocks of hundreds of birds – a beautiful, albeit noisy, sight to behold.
We’ll be making the most of both technology and old-fashioned pen and paper, as we go live to plot the movement of these ornithological disruptors.
Ecologists from all over the Stroud valleys will be calling in to let us know how many Jackdaws are flying in, from where, and at what time, so we can live track their journey.
Come join us for a Citizen Science experiment in action!
