The Nightingale is one of the country’s best loved birds, thanks to its rare and evocative song. For this very special celebration, we welcome award-winning dancer Marie-Louise Flexen, who will perform a striking piece from her Bird Nerd suite; we will show singer and musician Sam Lee’s acclaimed film The Nightingale’s Song from his Singing with Nightingales project; and we will be joined by county birding expert Gordon Kirk of the British Trust for Ornithology for a Q&A.
The Nightingale’s Song is part of the Shifting Landscapes series created by Emergence Magazine, and is directed by Adam Loften and Emmanuel Vaughan-Lee.
Please note: finish time is approximate.
Ticket prices are £8 (‘pay it forward’), £6 (standard) and £4 for those on a low income. Booking is through Stroud Film Festival.
