Be part of Big Garden Birdwatch and make a difference to wildlife. Simply choose an hour between 27 and 29 January and count the birds you see land in your garden, on your balcony, or in your local park.
Register through RSPB website - https://www.rspb.org.uk/get-involved/activities/birdwatch/birdwatch-take-part/
You can then report back what you saw at rspb.org.uk/birdwatch before 19 February, or by 14 February if doing it by post.
Even if you see nothing, it still counts - the data captured feeds into national research into bird life and numbers. According to the RSPB, we’ve lost 38 million birds from British skies in the last 50 years. We see it in our own gardens, with house sparrows struggling and starlings declining. Your Birdwatch results help the RSPB monitor how our birds are faring in the face of the nature and climate emergency - so your support is vital.
Paper copies of the form are available from Stroud Valleys project eco shop.
This is a national event and is free and open to all.
