Capel's Mill Wild Play Consultation

Studies show that playing outside is key to children’s healthy development, but many children are spending less and less time on active and immersive outdoor play – perhaps because there aren’t as many opportunities to ‘play out’ as there once were.

Stroud Valleys Project, with the support of Stroud District Council, is planning to create play areas for children at the canalside Capel’s Mill site in Stroud.

We are keen to hear what residents and other users of Capel’s Mill think of our plans, so during April we’ll be holding two on-site consultations.

We will be onsite at Capel’s Mill between 1.30pm and 3.30pm on Saturday 23 April and on Monday 25 April between 11am and 1pm, so why not come along and say hello and share your thoughts with us?

More details about the project can be found here.
