THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED
Join Stroud Valleys Project for a morning of immersive creative writing on Minchinhampton Common, with poet and outdoor creative writing teacher Billy Head and Environmental Humanities researcher Sharon Gardham.
Sharon will take us on a short, guided walk, where we will explore the layers of connections to be found on the common; between past and present, people and places and humans and other species.
In one of the common’s small hollows, Billy will then lead us in an exercise that promotes an engagement with our surroundings via the senses… also serving as a starting point for some creative writing.
This event is suitable for all ages. No prior experience is necessary - just a pencil, some paper and your imagination.
All under 16s must be accompanied by an adult. This event is unfortunately not suitable for dogs.
This event is part of our Landscapes of the Lark festival, which is supported by the Cotswold National Landscape’s Farming in Protected Landscape fund and is run in collaboration with the National Trust.
