You know it’s really spring when Marking Day comes around and the cattle can start roaming Minchinhampton and Rodborough commons freely again after winter on the farm.
Join Stroud Valleys Project and a host of other organisations, including the National Trust and Butterfly Conservation, for this FREE event, to help us to ‘mark’ Marking Day 2023 by the Old Lodge on Minchinhampton Common.
There will be activities for all ages to enjoy, including walks and talks, displays and an exhibition of local commons history – something for everyone!
This event is part of our Landscapes of the Lark festival, supported by the Cotswold National Landscapes’s Farming in Protected Landscapes fund and our Garden Guardians project, which is supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund.
