A journey through some of our sites…

Stroud Valleys Project this week launched a video to tell people more about what we do.

Our team worked with young graphic designer Michael Jones on the video, which takes people on a journey to several of the charity’s 16 sites across the district.

The video starts at Kingswood near Wotton-under-Edge, moving to Cranham to visit Prinknash Abbey Walled Garden, then the Sensory Garden at Stratford Park in Stroud, followed by the Beeches in Cashes Green, then the canals project, which works alongside Cotswold Canals Connected to ensure the restoration of the canals has a minimal impact on wildlife habitats, and next to Capel’s Mill alongside the River Frome in Stroud, finishing at the charity’s eco shop in Stroud.

SVP communications coordinator Kerri Tyler said, “We were so fortunate that Michael approached us with the idea of making a video about what we do. He achieved an A* in his Graphic Design A Level, so his work is excellent, and he was also really great to collaborate with: patient, thorough and totally understanding of what we wanted to say about SVP.

“We think he’s done an amazing job – despite the varying quality of the film with which I supplied him!”

Michael said, “I’ve really enjoyed the process of creating this video for Stroud Valleys Project. I’ve also learned lots about the charity and the positive impact they have all over the Stroud District.”
