'Between Sky and Earth' is an exhibition of 38 local and international artists, celebrating our local commons, exploring grassland ecologies and skylark habitats, looking deeper into contested spaces, common land and human/more-than-human relationships.
This is the conclusion of our Landscapes of the Lark festival which has been running since Easter, celebrating the wonderful wildlife and culture of our commons, and the traditional farming practices that support it.
The exhibition is taking place at the Chapels of Rest, Bisley Road Cemetery (What3Words: ///moderated.petulant.backfired). Entry is FREE and we are open every day (excluding Monday) from 11am to 3pm.
There will also be tie-in events happening throughout the week, including a drawing workshop, a tour of the cemetery’s wildlife from Stroud Town Council’s green spaces team, and a ‘Weavers and Workhouse’ walk led by Stuart Butler of Radical Stroud.
Please note, parking is extremely limited in the area, so walk or cycle to the exhibition if you can. There is very limited disabled parking available on site. More details about how to get to the site are below.
Landscapes of the Lark is supported by the Cotswold National Landscapes Farming in Protected Landscapes fund.
